While I can't imagine my life without my wonderful husband or my crazy cool kiddos, sometimes I do let myself drift back to that glorious time when I could sleep in as late as I wanted...those were the days.

But as every parent knows, that life slips away the nanosecond kids enter into the picture.

This week, I've got some must-have sleep-in tips to get your little one to sleep in a little later, a great article to help you get the most out of story time, a much-needed piece on parent burnout, tips on how to protect your kiddos from the sun, and a look at my favorite new natural bath products.

Don't hit the snooze button - let's go!

1. THE CASE OF THE EARLY MORNING RISER...

What happens if your little one starts getting up super early every morning? Like, 5 am, before sunrise early?

My mentee and her client reached out to me recently with this question and I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and did some investigating - what I found can likely help you as well if you have a similar early baby bird situation.

In my new blog post I break down how things like nap schedules, bedroom environments and other factors can keep your kiddo from getting the kind of sleep they (and you!) need.

And if you have additional sleepy-time kid quesitons, I've got ya - go here to schedule a FREE 15-minute call with me and we can chat about it!

Or, just reply to this email with any questions you have, and I'll be happy to answer.

2. STEPS TO SLAY STORY TIME

Let me first say this, there's no wrong way to do story time. Any time you sit down to read with a child they win.

But if you want to supercharge their imagination and see where their little minds take you, read this awesome Medium article. You'll be on a unforgettable ride in no time.

3. HOW TO HANDLE MOM BURNOUT

One thing that's not talked about nearly enough is the pressure new moms are under.

Not just pressure from the outside world to project this perfect image of parenthood, but the pressure we also put on ourselves.

As we bottle up those feelings of inadequacy, overcompensation and just plain exhaustion, we get dangerously close to burnout.

This very candid Medium article teaches us to recognize burnout and how to ask for help.

Remember: You're not alone!

4. HOW TO PROTECT YOUR LITTLE ONE FROM THE SUN

Want to take your little one outside to enjoy every second of the summer sun but don't know what SPF is best?

Check out this great article on sun protection for your baby during summer.

Sand not included.

5. YOUR NEW BATH TIME ESSENTIALS

I absolutely LOVE this kids line from the Santa Monica-based BeautyCounter.

After numerous bath times ended with tangled tears, BeautyCounter's kids shampoo finally did the trick for my little one.

The line, which includes shampoos, conditioners and body wash, smells great AND is good for the environment - how can you go wrong?

BeautyCounter's mighty mission is to get safer products to everyone. And while you need a consultant to place your first order, don't worry, I've got you covered! My friend from way back in high school is ready to hook you up!

By the way, if you purchase something be sure to select "Healthy Little Sleepers" event at the checkout - it will enter you to win free products from Beauty Counter at purchase!
