Healthy Little Note: Issue #52
Hiya!
With the holidays a week away, I wanted to touch on the topic of time... especially taking time for yourself. I've been sort of MIA in my insta stories (but not completely) and definitely slow going on my newsletter here.
Well, there's a reason. I mentioned it in my stories 2 weeks ago, but really didn't realize how much I'd be effected. So, in case you missed it, I had a little fall on Thanksgiving and ended up with a concussion. (but I'm a-ok)
My head sometimes still hurts, but I'm so much better as time passes. But the thing is... time doesn't stop. And as parents, it's so hard to take the time to not be well.
And this is exactly why community is so so important - support. I'm so grateful for this community and want to say a big thank you to YOU!
When you don't have the time for a lot of things because you are taking care of your little ones, it's so easy to feel overwhelmed. Just know it's ok to slow down... leave the dishes in the sink (as much it might drive you crazy), the laundry in the dryer, and the groceries for delivery.
Take this time over the holiday to reset... I know it's easier said than done. But pick something that takes some of your time away from YOU time and say, "that can wait" and walk away and go do something for yourself, even if it's for just 10 minutes.
There's nothing like forced rest that brings out the "I need to do this more often" notion. ha! I was never good at taking those 10 minutes for me, so I get it. But just try it.
So with time and rest on your mind, you can catch me one last time before the holiday for some sleep talks...
I hope you have a fantastic holiday and Happy New Year too!
WHERE TO FIND ME NEXT...
On Friday December 20th, you can find me at Beverly Hills Pediatrics for a talk on Newborn Sleep AND Younger Baby/Toddler Sleep (as young as 5mos and up to 3 years!). Make sure you sign up here!

And don't forget... Nicole is here during the holidays, so book your sleep consults with Nicole if you're in town too! Or if you need a little help, we also have a Holiday Mayhem call to help you!
